Another new Granville garden tick

Looking out the bedroom windows this morning I noticed a different plumaged bird on the top back bird feeders - so with a quick look through the binos there were 3 LESSER REDPOLL (Thanks Lucy for spotting they are NOT Linnet as I previously stated!)  feeding away with the GOLDFINCH, COAL TIT, BLUE TIT and GREAT TIT
The top feeders are certainly bringing in more unusual species - may be time to put up another feeding station along the back of the garden!
Lesser Redpoll - a new edition to the garden list

  1. Hiya John, I reckon you've got yourself some lovely Lesser Redpolls there (rather than Linnets), just coming into smart breeding plumage. The pale wing-bars give it away (not present on Linnets). Very jealous of your Siskins too. Hope Harry and Anna are doing well. Take care ;-)
