Lifer near Luton!!

A very fortunate sighting of an adult ROSE COLOURED STARLING today after a nice garden party post Oscars christening at Lucy & Jons (veg envy!!!)
We (Anna , Harry & I) drove the 30 mins to Caddington to attempt the sighting. Luckily another couple of birders came out of the side passage of No 72 and informed myself and one other that the lovely residents were allowing us bird lot into their back garden to view the feeders next door.
And low and behold it showed for about 30 secs after waiting about 5 mins.
Thanks to the lovely couple who allowed us in their garden - Harry got a bit impatient so Anna went back to the car and fed him....
On the way home we stopped off at Whipsnade Tree Cathedral - worth a visit v lovely. And there we saw ( and heard) a baby woodpecker in a tree!
